What Is DailyRewards Canada?

DailyRewards is the Canadian branch of the US-based survey platform, InboxDollars. The two platforms are identical.

The only difference is that InboxDollars is for US-based users, while DailyRewards is only available to Canadian users.

The two platforms are partnered with various major retailers in each country and help collect valuable consumer data for these companies.

What does consumer data entail?

All businesses need data to operate – specifically information about their prospective customers. They need answers to questions like:

  • What type of products do my customers want to see?
  • How much value do customers place on customer service?
  • How are my customers responding to my latest ad campaign?
  • How do my customers feel about my brand as a whole?

Survey platforms like DailyRewards Canada and InboxDollars act as an intermediary between everyday consumers and big-name brands. The survey sites work with the companies to create surveys and promotional activities for users designed to get their feedback about various brands, products, or services.

Once there’s enough data from the survey-takers, the survey platform sells the data to major companies in exchange for compensation. This is what allows the platform to pay its users for completing surveys.

Is DailyRewards Canada A Scam?

DailyRewards is much like any other paid survey site in Canada. The good news is that DailyRewards Canada is not a scam. In fact, the company has been in business since 2000, making it one of the oldest paid survey sites on the internet.

Additionally, InboxDollars (the US-based parent company) has a 4.2-star rating on Trustpilot, with over 39,000 verified reviews. That’s pretty solid compared to other paid side hustle websites I’ve seen.

DailyRewards has also paid out over $80 million to its users since the company started over twenty years ago.

All of that being said, you aren’t going to get rich with DailyRewards Canada.

You’re not going to earn more than $10 to $12 in an hour, and you probably won’t earn more than $40 to $50 per month due to the limited number of paid surveys and promotional opportunities on the platform.

Sometimes, new users become survey-takers with high expectations, thinking that they’re going to earn hundreds of dollars per month, only to be disappointed when they find out they’re only earning $1 to $3 per survey.

So, although DailyRewards isn’t a scam, the amount you’ll earn is relatively small compared to the effort you put in.

How Does DailyRewards Canada Work?

DailyRewards Canada is a fairly simple and easy platform to use. Once you create your account, you’ll be prompted to complete a user profile. This brief survey will gather some of your demographic data, which will be used to pair you with surveys that you’re eligible for.

As your profile is paired with opportunities, you’ll receive notifications. Surveys typically expire after a few weeks, so it’s a good idea to stay on top of your notifications if you want to earn the most.

Surveys and promotional activities can be as quick as 5 minutes or may take up to 15 minutes or longer. Upon completion, your DailyRewards account will receive points, which correlate with a dollar amount (100 points = $1).

Once you accumulate $30 worth of rewards (3,000 points), you can cash out and receive a PayPal deposit to your account. Alternatively, you can also opt to receive a gift card to one of your favourite stores for the same amount.

How Can You Make Money With DailyRewards

Taking Consumer Surveys

There are three different ways that DailyRewards users can earn points (and money) on the platform, including:

  • Paid opinion polls
  • Playing desktop games
  • Earning cashback for shopping & cash rewards

1. Taking Consumer Surveys

The vast majority of the promotional activities you’ll complete are going to be paid surveys. These surveys are typically assembled by large brands and data aggregate companies, and are designed to collect consumer data on products, services, brands, and experiences.

Surveys can take between 5 and 20 minutes. Once in a while, you may be given the chance to perform longer surveys in exchange for a higher reward.

2. Playing Desktop Games

If you get bored of taking surveys (or there just aren’t any that you’ve been paired with), then you can always earn points by participating in DailyRewards’ games. They’re nothing special, so don’t expect to be blown away. Most of the games are low-resolution card games that contain various bits of promotional content.

Not every paid survey platform offers the opportunity to earn money for playing games, though, so it’s a nice feature to see.

3. Cashback From Online Shopping

Last but not least, DailyRewards offers a number of cash offers to its users. These offers reward you with points (the equivalent of cashback) whenever you sign up for membership programs, free trials, or email newsletters.

Additionally, you may also be able to earn points when you shop online with one of DailyRewards’ partner brands, which include:

  • Walmart
  • Target
  • Netflix

How Much Money Can You Make With DailyRewards?

If you maximize all of your promotional opportunities, you’ll probably be able to earn around $10 to $15 per week on DailyRewards. It may not sound like a lot, but it was never designed to replace your full-time income.

As far as I’m concerned, DailyRewards is a good way to save a little bit of extra cash at the end of the month, though. The extra bits of money add up at the end of the month and can be put towards your groceries, fuel costs, or a meal at your favourite restaurant.

How Much Money Do I Need To Cash Out On DailyRewards?

Unlike many survey sites that only require you to earn $5 or $10 to cash out, DailyRewards has a higher threshold of $30 before you’re allowed to receive a PayPal deposit.

On one hand, this is good because it forces you to save up and get a higher reward. On the other hand, this can be inconvenient, as you likely won’t be able to cash out more than once or twice a month.

Does DailyRewards Have A Mobile App?

Unfortunately, DailyRewards does not offer a mobile app for its platform. This sets them a bit behind other survey platforms like Swagbucks, which offers a super easy-to-use app for iOS and Android.

That being said, DailyRewards has a mobile-optimized site that’s almost as good as an app. It just might be a bit hard to participate in the paid gaming opportunities, which might require a desktop browser.

What Do I Need To Sign Up For DailyRewards Canada?

Signing up for DailyRewards is incredibly easy. The only requirements are:

  • You must be at least 18
  • You must be a resident of Canada

It also helps to have a PayPal account if you want to receive cash rewards instead of gift cards.

Best Alternatives To DailyRewards Canada

DailyRewards is a decent paid survey site. However, if you want to maximize your survey earnings, it can be helpful to sign up for additional survey platforms as well. By signing up for multiple platforms, you’ll be able to take more surveys and earn more rewards.

Here are two of the best alternatives (or add-ons) to DailyRewards Canada.

1. Swagbucks

Swagbucks Logo

Swagbucks is one of the largest paid survey platforms in Canada and offers considerably more survey opportunities than DailyRewards, allowing you to earn more each month. To date, Swagbucks has paid out over $812 million to its users (compared with DailyRewards’ $80 million lifetime payout).

When you sign up, you’ll automatically receive a $10 bonus as well, which is a nice incentive.

2. Survey Junkie

Survey Junkie Logo

Along with Swagbucks, Survey Junkie is another one of the big players in the paid survey industry. The platform is very similar to Swagbucks and has a fairly high rating by consumers. The platform claims that users can earn up to $40 per month if they take all of the surveys available to them.

DailyRewards Canada Review: Is It Worth It?

DailyRewards Canada Review

DailyRewards is 100% legitimate, has verified payouts, and has been in business since 2000. It’s a trustworthy company that pays its users according to their earnings.

If you combine DailyRewards with a couple of other paid survey sites, then you might be able to earn over $100 per month or more by completing paid surveys. In my opinion, though, there are a lot better ways to earn money online than by completing paid surveys.

One of the best ways to start earning a full-time living online is to learn an in-demand skill and start freelancing.

Skilled freelancers in Canada can earn anywhere between $25 and $80 per hour, depending on their niche, and most positions don’t require any formal college education.
