Rules around trading in the extended trading session depend on the brokerage that you are using.

TSX Venture Exchange

While companies listed on the TSX typically have a market capitalization of at least $50 million, the TSX Venture Exchange allows smaller companies to be listed. Companies on the TSX Venture Exchange are mostly between $500,000 and $20 million in size.

The TSX Venture Exchange is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, and is also an entirely electronic exchange.

All of the companies on the TSX Venture Exchange can be classified as small cap. There are over 1,600 companies currently listed on the TSX Venture.

TSX Holidays

Canadian holidays are fairly standard year-round, making days during which the exchange is closed fairly predictable.

Regular holidays during which the exchange is closed include:

  • Good Friday – April
