Financial advisors across the United States are set to benefit from a new all-in-one wealth technology platform unveiled by MassMutual and Orion. This partnership brings together the expertise of MassMutual, a leader in life insurance and financial services, and Orion, a premier provider of wealthtech solutions, to create a streamlined, flexible platform designed to enhance advisor efficiency and client outcomes.
Streamlined Tools for Financial Professionals
The newly launched Wealth Management Solutions (WMS)-Orion platform integrates essential advisor functions into a single, unified system. This innovation aims to simplify operations, reduce complexity, and boost productivity for more than 6,500 financial professionals affiliated with MassMutual. By enhancing technology and investment capabilities, the platform supports scalable growth and empowers advisors to tailor strategies to meet their clients' unique needs.

Key Features Designed for Advisor Success
The WMS-Orion platform introduces several features and benefits aimed at reshaping advisor workflows:
- Integrated Advisor Experience: The platform offers seamless workflows across financial planning, proposal generation, portfolio management, and risk intelligence.
- Expanded Investment Access: Advisors can access personalized investment solutions, including Core Select, a service for constructing custom unified managed accounts (UMAs) with vetted strategies from top-tier investment managers. Additionally, high-net-worth clients (minimum $1 million) can access the Wealth Advisory service, which will soon include options overlay capabilities.
- Scalable Support: The platform leverages Orion’s extensive resources, including over 50 sales professionals and dedicated white-glove support, to reduce back-office complexity and increase efficiency.
- Advisor Empowerment: Advisors retain input and flexibility in portfolio construction, including model customisation and the ability to tailor strategies to client goals.
- Recruiting Appeal: Designed to attract next-generation advisors, the platform offers cutting-edge technology and investment solutions to support evolving advisor needs.

The WMS-Orion platform is exclusive to financial advisors affiliated with MML Investors Services (MML), MassMutual’s independent broker/dealer and investment adviser. MML currently administers $274 billion in client assets as of the end of 2024 and provides a wide range of services, including financial planning, wealth management, retirement planning, and insurance solutions. Advisors also offer strategic support for estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and business solutions such as key employee benefits and succession planning.
With this strategic collaboration, MassMutual and Orion aim to empower financial professionals with the tools, technology, and support they need to succeed.
