Below, I’ll share some of the best Canadian coupon sites for shopping locally and online, so you can start stashing away some extra savings!
Canadian Coupon Sites: How Do They Work?
There are several different types of coupon sites in Canada. Some of the newer platforms offer easy-to-use smartphone apps that give you cashback for scanning receipts.
Others are online browser extensions or simple old-school websites that allow you to save and print coupons that you can bring to your local supermarket.
From personal experience, I’ve found that the best Canadian coupon sites are those that allow me to scan my receipts and automatically scour the web for deals and codes when I’m checking out. However, classic coupon sites can also be useful if you’re looking for a particular item or you’re shopping locally.
All of the Canadian coupon sites I’ve mentioned below are 100% free to use. However, some may require you to provide your email address. Unfortunately, this can result in some SPAM emails and promotions, but you should be able to filter these out so they don’t end up in your primary inbox.
The Best Overall Canadian Coupon Sites
If you’re not looking for any specific coupons, then your best bet is to use a more generalized Canadian coupon site/app. These are helpful, as they offer a wide range of deals and savings with some of Canada’s top retailers and major brands.
1. Checkout 51
- Find Deals: Checkout51.com
Checkout 51 is my favourite coupon site in Canada. The platform offers an Android and iOS app that makes it easy to save money without scrolling through spammy, ad-stuffed websites.
To start saving, simply download the app on your smartphone and shop as you usually would. When you’re done shopping, open the app and scan your receipt.
Checkout 51 will automatically cross-reference the purchases on your receipt and scour the web to find any applicable deals offered by the manufacturer or the store where you were shopping.
If Checkout 51 finds any coupons or deals, your savings will be retroactively applied to your account, similar to a cashback rewards card. Once you accumulate enough rewards, you can cash out directly to your bank account or use the balance to purchase gift cards and other rewards.
Recently, Checkout 51 launched a cashback program for fuel. This is a great way to save money by filling up at specific gas stations that the app is partnered with!
2. Groupon

Groupon Canada is a great place to find high-value coupons. Whether you’re trying to book a hotel, looking for something fun to do around town, or have a larger purchase you need to make, be sure to run it through Groupon first.
Although Groupon may require you to pay for the coupon upfront, the coupons you’ll find on the platform are almost always worth what you pay for them.
I’ve used Groupon several times to find great hotel deals while travelling within Canada, so it’s definitely worth checking out. Local restaurants may also offer incredible promotional deals on Groupon, which is a great way to try new eateries in your city.
3. Websaver.ca

Websaver.ca is a Canadian coupon website that offers printable coupons for various products, focusing on household goods and groceries. These coupons can be redeemed at various retailers across Canada.

I also like how the site isn’t overly spammy and doesn’t have a bunch of pop-ups or intrusive ads.

BargainMoose is one of the more reputable Canadian coupon sites, and you can find some truly excellent coupons on shoes, jackets, and clothing. However, you can also find deals on electronics, groceries, home goods, beauty products, and more.
You can search for deals by category or brand and filter by location to find redeemable deals at nearby stores. I like how the site is updated regularly with new deals, so you always find something new.
Additionally, the website also has a feature that allows users to submit their own deals, so you can find exclusive deals that are not available anywhere else. This peer-to-peer functionality is really what makes BargainMoose one of the more dynamic Canadian coupon sites.
6. Red Flag Deals

Red Flag Deals provides users with coupon codes instead of printable coupons. These codes can be used to get discounts on products from well-known brands such as Coach, Under Armor, and more.
If you’re looking for deals on particular brands, you can search for local flyers and promotions using the search bar at the top of the site.
In addition to the main website, Red Flag Deals also offers an easy-to-use smartphone app, so you can search for coupons and deals while you’re on the go.

7. Reebee
- Find Deals: Reebee.com
Reebee is an innovative Canadian coupon platform that allows users to easily access the best deals and discounts from hundreds of retailers, from major brands to local grocery stores.
With Reebee, you can browse through a broad collection of Canadian flyers to find special promotions, sales, discounts and deals in your area using the location filter.
Reebee differentiates itself from others by letting users compare prices and deals from different retailers, making it easy for users to make informed purchase decisions and save money. For example, I used the app in the past to find out which stores in Vancouver had the best deals on winter boots and saved a good bit!

Flipp is one of the more popular Canadian coupon apps that allow users to access weekly ads and deals from their favourite retailers. The platform is similar to Reebee but may contain different periodicals and flyers. I often recommend using Flipp and Reebee together to find the best deals.
The one advantage that Flipp has over Reebee is that Flipp offers an Android and iOS app, which makes it more accessible and easy to use.
Through the app, users can create a shopping list, save and use digital coupons by redeeming them at the checkout counter.
It’s simple to use, and the app makes it easy to find the best deals and discounts in your area.
9. Caddle

I recently mentioned Caddle as one of the best paid survey sites in Canada. Users can complete basic consumer surveys in exchange for points, which can be used to purchase high-value coupons on the platform.
While some of these coupons are online only, Caddle also offers a range of excellent local coupons for those looking to save on groceries, electronics, necessities, and even sports gear. Like Flipp, Caddle offers an Android and iOS app, which makes it super easy to use.

There’s a good chance that you already receive a Valpak booklet in your mailbox. Valpak typically sends these periodicals out on a monthly basis to local communities that they’re trying to target. You can also access all of Valpak’s Canadian coupons online by typing in your postal code.
The cool thing about Valpak is that the platform is highly focused on local retailers, which makes it a great way to save at local restaurants, retailers, and boutiques in your city. That being said, you can also find a number of manufacturer coupons with Valpak, so it’s always worth looking into.
12. Simplyfrugal.ca

Simplyfrugal.ca is a fairly bare-bones website that compiles local coupons and manufacturer coupons that can be printed out at home. Currently, the site doesn’t offer any digital coupons. However, the physical coupons can be printed and are almost always legit. The site also has a thoughtful blog on frugal living tips.
13. Save.ca

With a user-friendly interface and easy navigation, Save.ca makes it easy to find coupons for your favourite brands. The website also offers a location filter to help you find local coupons and coupon flyers that have been distributed in your area (similar to Save a Loonie).
Save.ca has a very clean site layout and makes it easy to search for certain items by category. There’s also a handy iOS and Android app, so you can search for coupons as you’re shopping.
14. Flashfood

Looking for incredible deals on food and groceries? Flashfood has committed to fighting food waste by providing updated lists of all of the best deals on local food products offered by grocery stores. The most common food items you’ll find on Flashfood are perishable items, such as:
- Dairy

- Meat
- Produce
Flashfood works directly with local grocery stores that are offering flash deals on products that are about to expire or become spoiled. Not only can you feel good about reducing national food waste, but you’ll be able to save a good bit as well.
15. Wagjag

If you’re bored and looking for something to do with your friends and family on the weekend, then you can’t go wrong with Wagjag. Unlike other coupon sites that mostly focus on retail stores and grocery coupons, Wagjag works with local service-based businesses, offering great deals on experiences.
Whether you’re looking for a discounted spa treatment or a group boat ride down the river, you’ll find plenty of fun activities on Wagjag.
16. Love Coupons

Love Coupons is very similar to Save a Loonie and Save.ca. The site is a bit cluttered and spammy (which is annoying), but the coupon codes you’ll find on the site are mostly legit and aren’t expired.
There’s a handy search bar on the main landing page that you can use to search for brand-specific deals and promotions. Love Coupons offers both local and online coupon codes.
17. Go Coupons

Go Coupons has a similar platform to ReeBee and Flipp (although the user interface isn’t quite as smooth).
On the site, you can browse through local flyers and add specific items to your cart. As you complete your shopping trip, you can apply the digital coupons at checkout or receive a cashback rebate after checking out.

Prefer to shop online? If so, then you’ll love these online Canadian coupon sites. While some of the sites I mentioned above also offer coupon codes and rebates for online shopping, the sites mentioned below offer a greater variety of online coupons.
18. Swagbucks
- Find Deal & Earn: Sign up for Swagbucks & get $5 of free credit
I’ve mentioned Swagbucks before as an easy online side hustle. The site allows users to earn money by completing surveys, watching video ads, and completing other promotional activities.
Additionally, Swagbucks also offers generous cashback deals when you shop online with the company’s partnered retailers – many of which are big-name brands like Nike, Addidas, and others.
If you want to save even more, you can use your cashback earnings and rebates to purchase gift cards and higher-value coupons that can be used in retail stores.
You won’t be able to make a living off of Swagbucks, but it’s a good way to save an extra $25 to $50 per month by knocking out some simple activities in your spare time.
19. Honey

Honey is an awesome browser extension that can save you money as you shop online. All you have to do is sign up with your email and add the extension to your Google Chrome browser.
Whenever you checkout on a website, Honey will scour the web to find the latest coupon codes and promotions and attempt to apply them to your balance.
There have been several instances when I’ve saved $50 or more on a single purchase with Honey because the app found a little-known coupon code that I would’ve never been able to find on my own.
Don’t expect this on every purchase, but you will get lucky occasionally.
Even if Honey can’t find an applicable or valid coupon code, you’ll still earn points for your purchase, which can be applied to future coupons and cashback rewards.
20. Rakuten
- Find Deals: Rakuten.ca
Rakuten is one of the world’s largest online coupon sites, with over a billion users worldwide. The company is partnered with some of the largest brands on the market, like Nike, Walmart, Sportchek, Canada Tire, Sephora, and more.
It’s specifically designed for online shoppers. Whenever you shop through Rakuten’s online platform, you’ll automatically earn cashback for your purchase, which will be applied to your Rakuten account.
You can later cash out with a direct deposit to your account or trade your cashback rewards in for a gift card.
21. RetailMeNot

RetailMeNot is an online coupon code-finder that helps its users find deals with popular eCommerce stores, hotel bookings, and more. I’ve also found some pretty good food coupons for pizza delivery, Subway, and more.
The site does have some pop-ups, which can make it hard to tell the difference between real coupons and fake ads. But the good coupons you do find make it worthwhile.
22. Amazon Coupons (Canada)

Amazon is already affordable compared to local brick-and-mortar stores. As a Prime member, though, you’ll be eligible for even more coupons and deals, which are updated regularly on the Amazon Canada website.
Most of these coupons apply to Amazon’s self-branded products, but some of them are also offered by major online retailers. You’ll find particularly good deals around major holidays.
23. Dealhack.ca

Dealhack.ca is almost identical to RetailMeNot. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the two sites have the same owner. The only real difference between the two sites is the colour scheme.
However, if one site happens to be down or experiencing technical difficulties, then you can always use the other.
Dealhack.ca has a search bar at the top of the page that you can use to search for particular items by brand, category, or store, and it can be used to find online rebate codes as well as in-store coupons and flyers.
24. Free Stuff Finder

Like free stuff? Free Stuff Finder is a good place to find surprising deals on clothing and beauty products, along with coupons for events, museums, and other fun activities. Most of the free activities come with some stipulations, but they’re worth checking out all the same.
25. Everysaving.ca

Everysaving.ca partners with over 100 online retailers, from small boutiques to big brands like Fossil and Amazon, to bring you coupons and discounts that you won’t find on most other Canadian coupon sites.
If you scroll down, you’ll be able to see the top trending deals on the site, which is a great way to filter through the not-so-great coupons.

26. Canadian Free Stuff

Major manufacturers and eCommerce brands often offer free samples to consumers to get their name out there, win consumer trust, and earn future customers.
Whether you decide to do business with the manufacturer in the future is up to you. However, you can get plenty of free samples on the Canadian Free Stuff website.
There are, quite literally, hundreds of different random items that you can get shipped to you for zero cost (although a few may charge a small shipping fee).
27. Free.ca
- Find Deals: Free.ca
Free.ca is very similar to Canadian Free Stuff. Both sites allow users to sign up for free promotional items and request that free samples be delivered to their homes.
You probably won’t get top-of-the-line products or large containers, but this can be a great way to test the waters and experiment with new brands and products. At the end of the day – free is free!
28. P&G Good Every Day

Procter & Gamble (P&G) is one of the largest home goods suppliers in North America. From soap to dish detergent, toothpaste, and more, this mega-company owns many of your favourite household brands.

Even though Walmart already has relatively low prices, the big box store does offer coupons periodically. These coupons are often for promotional items or back-stocked items that local stores need to get rid of before they expire.

When you’re really hungry, it’s hard to say no to a steaming hot Tim Hortons burger.
If you eat at Tim Hortons on a semi-regular basis, then you should definitely consider signing up for the Tims Rewards program. As a member, you’ll get exclusive coupons emailed to you or sent to you via the Tim Hortons app.
Additionally, you’ll be able to earn points on all of your purchases when you scan the app after making a purchase. Once you accumulate enough points, you can redeem them for free food and other goodies.
32. Starbucks Rewards

Do you like coffee?
The Starbucks Rewards program allows customers to earn stars for purchases made at participating Starbucks locations (most independent locations outside of Airports and other retail stores). These stars can then be redeemed for free food and drinks, as well as other rewards.
The program also offers exclusive discounts and coupons to members, which are updated weekly in the Starbucks app.
Additionally, members also have access to free coffee and tea refills and can pay for their orders through the app to earn additional stars, allowing them to get free drinks and snacks even sooner. The program is free to join and easy to use.

Similar to Tims Rewards, A&W Rewards offers some high-value coupons and promotional offers to fans who enter their email address. Sure, you’ll have to put up with a few spammy emails occasionally, but you’ll also get some pretty good coupons out of the deal!
Conclusion – What Are The Best Canadian Coupon Sites?
Whew! What a list, right?
I’ll be honest and say that I don’t use the majority of the coupon sites on this list. Most of them require more research, typing, and spammy ads than I’m comfortable with. However, Checkout 51, Rakuten, and Honey stand out to me:
- Checkout 51 makes it incredibly easy to earn cashback by scanning your grocery and retail shopping receipts
- Rakuten offers generous cashback when shopping with major online retailers
- Honey automatically scans the web for applicable coupons and codes when shopping online
I frequently use these three apps, as they’re easy to use, require little to no effort on my part, and actually offer great deals.
