The company was formerly known as Monarques Gold Corporation and changed its name to Monarch Gold Corporation in January 2019. Monarch Gold Corporation was incorporated in 2011 and is headquartered in Saint-Sauveur, Canada. As of January 21, 2021, Monarch Gold Corporation operates as a subsidiary of Yamana Gold Inc..
